Background-
de Novo Solutions, a technology company based in Newport, has secured a seven-figure funding package from HSBC UK to strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities and intellectual property as it enters its next stage of expansion.
The South Wales business extends the Oracle Cloud and ServiceNow platforms to deliver industry cloud solutions for local and central government, policing and education. Its sector-specific solutions give organizations a reusable base for corporate functions, HR, payroll, finance and procurement, helping them deliver digital transformation faster and at lower cost.
The funding will back further development of the company’s offering, including what it describes as a first-of-its-kind Oracle platform blueprint for local government and policing. Cardiff Council is currently implementing its local government blueprint, Odyssea Local Government Association, known as OLGA.
de Novo is targeting 20% year-on-year growth in revenue and customers as it expands across existing markets in the UK and abroad.
Founder and executive chairman Mark Sweeny said public sector organizations want to modernize essential systems and stretch budgets, which fuels demand for fast, sustainable technology improvements. He said the funding speeds up investment, brings new capabilities to market sooner and widens the customer base.
HSBC UK relationship director Dafydd Roberts said Wales has a thriving technology sector, and the right funding gives companies the confidence to invest, innovate and expand. He called de Novo a strong Welsh business with a clear vision.
