EIL Reports 55 Percent Jump In Q1 Net Profit

Engineers India Ltd reports a 55 percent year-on-year rise in first quarter net profit, driven by strong business momentum and improved operating performance.

The company posts a net profit of ₹109 crore in the April-June quarter of fiscal 2026-27, up from ₹70 crore in the same period a year earlier, according to a company statement.

Operating margin climbs to about 14 percent, or ₹108 crore, in the quarter, compared with 7 percent, or ₹59 crore, a year earlier. The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rise to ₹155.44 crore by the end of the quarter, up from ₹104.61 crore a year earlier, while the EBITDA margin improves to 18.55 percent from 11.72 percent.

On a consolidated basis, profit after tax surges 141 percent to ₹157.94 crore, up from ₹65.40 crore in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year.

The company’s order book stands at ₹14,424 crore by the end of the quarter, made up of ₹10,498 crore in the consultancy segment and ₹3,926 crore in the turnkey segment.

EIL says its business outlook remains positive, supported by a strong order book and continued opportunities across the energy and infrastructure sectors.

The company adds that it stays focused on business growth, operational excellence, diversification of its project portfolio, expansion of its international footprint, and opportunities across traditional energy, energy transition and infrastructure sectors.
